UPCOMING EVENTS
GPAC Meetings & Other Events
General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC). The GPAC is structured to meet a minimum of five times during the General Plan update process, with meetings held periodically throughout 2024. Meetings will begin at 6:00 PM and are expected to last 2-3 hours. Meetings will take place at the Dana Point Community Center. All meetings will be in person and will not be recorded. Action minutes will be prepared, as required for public meetings.

Other Events. In addition to GPAC meetings, the City holds other events to engage with the Dana Point community, such as public briefings and meetings with decision makers, pop-up events, and open houses. See below for upcoming events or farther down below for past events.
Planning Commission study session
November 2024 (tentative)
Purpose: brief the Planning Commission on GPAC discussions and recommendations for land use changes and mobility improvements.
City Council Study Session
November/December 2024 (tentative)
Purpose: brief the City Council on GPAC discussions and recommendations for land use changes and mobility improvements, as well as input from the Planning Commission, with a request for the City Council to authorize City staff to initiate the appropriate environmental/technical analyses for Phase 2 of the GPU

[DEADLINE EXTENDED!] Submit by August 21, 2024. The City has extended the timeline for participation. While the City will consider all comments submitted through August 21st, you are encouraged to fill out a questionnaire as early as possible to inform City staff and decision makers as part of public briefings to be held in early/mid July.
